Care providers can reduce illness and injuries by carefully preparing bottles, removing inappropriate toys that may be choking hazards, preventing access to dangerous items such as electrical outlets and cords, and providing secure education and play areas for all age groups.  This lesson addresses health hazards found in child care facilities and methods of preventing illness among children.  It also discusses safety hazards, along with indoor and outdoor safety practices and proper equipment maintenance.
